What's happening
Three local crews, one stubborn idea: you should get to read whatever you want. Obsidian Book Collective dreamed it up, BAGG Books is throwing open its doors, and Folklore Society is pulling the taps — and we want the whole Tri-Cities in on it. One afternoon, free and open to everyone, for every book somebody tried to ban.
Folklore on the bar
Pull up a chair — the beer garden is Folklore's corner of the day. Every pour goes straight back into our general fund, which keeps the lights on across all our programs. Buy a round, fund a reading.
Want your gift to go somewhere specific? Our Author Fund is raising money right now to bring real, working writers to the Tri-Cities. Cash gifts are always welcome, and every dollar adds up.
Who's behind this
It takes a village — or in this case, three of them. A bookshop, a book collective, and a literary society pooling space, shelves, and time to pull off something none of us could do alone.
Be there
Save the date, round up a friend, and dig a few books out of the to-give pile. July 4th, BAGG Books, 11 to 4 — free, loud, and full of good trouble. We'll see you in the stacks.
